Tri-Delts tend to be heavily invested in philanthropy and prefer to be labeled "classy" over "fun to party with," although they do not want to be considered boring. Boy, the knives seem to be out for the Kappas. NO ONE has the right to try to determine which is "better" than the other. Take what you hear with a grain of salt and research your specific chapter. :(. What they tend to lackin philanthropy doesnt seem to concern them too much. To be honest, any house at UT would be a great sorority experience with attractive, smart girls. Surely different schools will have different stereotypes for what each sorority is like based on the local population.
